Included with every plan

What you actually get for your investment

Individual courses, subscriptions, yearly plans and business options. There is something for everyone.

3 Free Courses

Foundations, Policies & Data subject rights. Learn the GDPR basics how it came about, why it came about and how it affects you.

Updates included

Guidance moves. Lessons are re-recorded when it does and the module the change corresponds to is updated with new video and downloads.

Certificates that verify

Issued automatically on completion, with a code anyone (a client, an insurer, an auditor) can check against this site.

The members' forum

Ask the awkward question and get an answer from a practicing DPO rather than a search engine.

Watch on your schedule

Two-to-five-minute lessons you can take between meetings and come back to as reference as and when you need to.

Progress you can evidence

Per-person, per-lesson records, so "we trained the team" is something you can show rather than assert.

Ireland and the UK

Both regimes taught side by side, with the divergences named the DPC and the ICO are not interchangeable.

No lock in

If you subscribe to a yearly package or purchase a one off course and decide to cancel you keep access to the courses you purchased for the full year after cancellation. Monthly subscribers retain access to the end of the billing period.

Choosing

Subscribe, or buy a single course?

Here are the pro's and con's to both.

Buy one course

Best when there is one specific thing in front of you - for example a DSAR has landed, or you have been asked for a ROPA and need to understand how to do it rather than pay an expert to do it for you.

  • · Yearly access to that course.
  • · Downloadable material for the course
  • · Optional sign up to monthly newsletter, the GDPR Gazette
  • · Certificate for completion.
  • · Nothing recurring to remember or cancel.

Cheaper if you need one or two courses and unlikely to need further GDPR help.

Subscribe

Best when data protection is part of your job rather than a one-off task, or when you are responsible for making sure a team is doing it right.

  • · All twelve courses
  • · Certificates upon course completion.
  • · Access to members forum for Q&A
  • · Courses update as guidance changes with the DPC, ICO
  • · Discounted Power Hour with Eileen Ireland

Works out cheaper from the third course onwards.

Questions

Before you pay

Can I cancel whenever I want?+

Yes. Cancel from your account in a couple of clicks , no follow up email asking if you are sure, no retention call. Access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for (a year in the case of individual courses or yearly plans), and nothing renews after that.

What happens to my certificates if I cancel?+

They are yours permanently. Certificates already issued stay valid and their verification codes keep working on this site, whether or not you are still a member.

Subscription or single course - which should I pick?+

One specific problem in front of you, like a DSAR that just landed? Buy that course outright. Responsible for data protection generally, or training a team? The subscription is cheaper by the third course and keeps you current as the law moves.

Do new courses cost extra on a subscription?+

No. Everything added while you are a member is included, and lessons get re-recorded when guidance changes rather than left to go stale.

Is VAT included?+

Prices are shown excluding VAT. VAT is applied at checkout where it is due, based on your location and whether you supply a valid VAT number.

Can I expense this or claim it back?+

Staff data-protection training is a normal business cost, and you get a proper VAT invoice by email on every payment for your records.

Try it before you pay anything

GDPR Foundations is free and takes a lunch break. You get an idea of what the system looks like & get to meet Eileen through the pre recorded videos.
