Cookie Policy

Last updated 9 October 2026

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Academy by reGDPR uses on regdpracademy.com, why we use them, and how you can control them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, do the same job. Some are essential for a site to work; others help us understand how it is used.

Essential (always on)

These are needed for the site to work and do not need your consent.

  • Sign-in token (stored in your browser's local storage) — keeps you signed in to your account while you use the site. Kept until you sign out or it expires.
  • lms_media_sid (cookie) — protects paid course videos so that only the signed-in student can play them. Lasts up to 3 hours.
  • Cookie choice (stored in your browser's local storage) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don't keep asking. Kept for 12 months.
  • Stripe — when you pay, Stripe's secure checkout page sets its own cookies for security and fraud prevention. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.

Analytics (only if you accept)

If you choose "Accept analytics" we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and see which pages and courses are popular. It sets these cookies:

  • _ga — distinguishes one visitor from another. Lasts 2 years.
  • _ga_<container id> — keeps track of your visit (session). Lasts 2 years.

We have set Google Analytics up to limit what it collects: Google's advertising and personalisation features are switched off, we send page addresses without any query details, and we do not send your name or email address. Google does not log or store visitor IP addresses in Google Analytics 4. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, using safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. Analytics cookies are never set unless you accept them.

Third-party content

The Power Hours page shows a booking calendar provided by TidyCal. When that calendar loads, TidyCal may set its own cookies. See TidyCal's privacy policy for details.

Changing your mind

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer of every page. You can also delete cookies or block them in your browser settings, although parts of the site (such as staying signed in) may stop working.
